Financial Hardship

Thank you for visiting our page about how to access Financial Hardship assistance through ENCAP's Support Services team. Our Support Services team is dedicated to providing wrap around case management services that goal planning, financial coaching, and connections to additional community resources. Within our program we offer financial assistance for rent and utilities in Douglas and Sarpy Counties. Please see our Financial Assistance Screen and additional requirements below. Please note: submitting a screening form / application is not a guarantee of financial assistance.


Please read all of the information below before you fill out the screening form (link to download the form is at the bottom of this page in number 6 and is labeled: "SCREENING FORM"). If you meet all of the listed criteria, then please fill out a screening form below.

Eligibility Requirements for Douglas County and Sarpy County*:

1.            Must reside in either Douglas County or Sarpy County

2.            Must have a shut-off notice and/or eviction notice

3.            Must be employed part-time or full-time (fixed income is okay)

5.            Must be able to provide proof of income: employer paystubs, tax returns, income from self-employment, SSI/SSDI benefit letters, pension benefit statement, unemployment payments, child support payments, bank statements, or public assistance payments.  

6.          If you meet all of the criteria listed above, please completely fill out the SCREENING FORM, and send to [email protected]  If you are eligible, you will be contacted by ENCAP staff. 


*Eligible households may only receive financial assistance one-time within a 12-month period.

 


DOUGLAS COUNTY COMMUNITY RESPONSE:

ENCAP plays an active role in the Community Response coalition in Douglas County (operated by Douglas County Community Response). This coalitions of nonprofit agencies, churches, civic organizations, and state and local government offices work to prevents families from entering the child welfare system and help them build resiliency.
