Sarpy County Holiday Assistance
For more than 40 years groups of dedicated community partners and volunteers have been coming together to coordinate a family shopping day for those in need in Sarpy County. Families signed-up throughout the month of November at various locations across Sarpy County. To qualify for this program, households had to reside in Sarpy County, be low-income, and have children under the age of 14 living in the home. This year, nearly 300 families are signed up for the big event this Saturday. Hundreds of new toys, games, books, clothing items, and gift cards have been donated for the event. When parents arrive they will have the opportunity to shop for their children for Christmas at no cost to the family – worry free.
