DOUBLE YOUR GIFT in OCTOBER!
ALL gifts to ENCAP from October 1- 31 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000 by our partners at Veridian Credit Union.
OMAHA, Neb. (September 30, 2020): Veridian Credit Union has announced a gift-match campaign for the Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership (ENCAP) throughout the month of October. Veridian will match all donations to ENCAP from October 1-31 up to $10,000.
“ENCAP provides vital support to our neighbors in their greatest time of need, and the pandemic has created unprecedented demand for their services,” said Matt Hillestad, Veridian’s regional manager. “We hope this match will inspire others to give with us and raise awareness of ENCAP’s need for ongoing support.”
ENCAP is a private, non-profit community action agency that’s been providing social and human services to people facing poverty in Douglas and Sarpy counties since 1965. ENCAP offers a holistic approach to service delivery, including hunger relief, homelessness prevention, child abuse and neglect prevention, skills development, senior wellbeing initiatives and transportation.
“The people we serve – most of whom have annual incomes at or below the federal poverty threshold – are working hard to find a way back to economic independence” said Aaron Bowen, ENCAP Executive Director. “There is no one-size-fits-all solution to poverty, and the pandemic brought unprecedented challenges for the people we serve. We are grateful for strong partnerships with organizations like Veridian who understand the work it takes to help families move forward from crisis toward long-term stability.”
Veridian will match donations to ENCAP up to $10,000 until October 31. Donations can be made online at www.encapnebraska.org or by mail to ENCAP at 2406 Fowler Avenue in Omaha, Nebraska, 68111.
